Currently, Porsche is responsible for creating for 6 different models: Porsche 718, Porsche 911, Porsche Taycan, Porsche Panamera, Porsche Macan, and Porsche Cayenne. These three digits numbers relate directly to the Porsche 911. Specifically, these numbers refer to the different generation of Porsche 911s. Additionally, this nomenclature is also the internal codes that Porsche uses while these 911s are in development.
